John Fotis is a tourism & hospitality marketing consultant. He holds a PhD on the impacts of social media on travel related consumer behaviour from Bournemouth University, an MSc in Tourism Marketing from University of Surrey, and a BSc in Business Administration from the American College of Greece. He has over 20 years of professional marketing experience, both in senior managerial roles, and as a consultant in a range of sectors such as: tourism & hospitality, retailing, shipping & yachting, holiday homes real estate, but also in education, mass media, non-profit, as well as in local & regional government. He contributed, through various roles, to the development and successful completion of various E.U. / nationally funded projects, with a total budget in excess of 5 million. John served as a member of Bournemouth University’s eTourism Lab, of International Centre of Tourism & Hospitality Research, and of BU’s Digital Hub of Experts participating in a number of international tourism consulting projects. He is co-founder and director of Novus Mind Ltd, a business consulting firm assisting tourism and hospitality organizations to develop and implement results oriented marketing strategies and programs.
